Bouncy Castle Hire - where did it all start?

Firstly let us begin by listing a few of the common names you'll hear for a bouncy castle. Many moons ago, way before I was born, back in 1959 when dense fog brought chaos to the UK (we've moved on loads since, now it's snow!), the first ever inflatable bouncy castle was invented. John Scurlock from Shreveport, Louisiana is the main credited with the invention. Mr Scurlock was experimenting with inflatable covers for tennis courts when he realised his employees were spending more time bouncing on the covers than manufacturing them! John was a mechanical engineer and loved physics. He began inventing many of the inflatable products you see today or at least the base concept. He was also the mastermind behind the safety air cushion used by fire and rescue departments to catch people from burning buildings or heights.
